This article made me extremely sad after I read it.
- This is a huge attack against people not because of their work but because of their political and gender opinions. In addition it was a large blow to to the pro-choice movement in Kansas.
- While 1. is an enormous issue, my biggest complaint is the fear it instills in future scientists. By placing this poorly veiled attacks because it goes against the political agenda of the local government it really harms future research and scientific progress. If researchers and scientists are afraid to pursue issues, speak the truth, or engage in unbiased research and work because they are afraid of losing their ability to work then that taints future work.
